Intended for lawyers by profession and Koreans by descent, the Korean Canadian Lawyers Association is a professional organization formed to serve the needs of its members by providing them with peer support, business referrals, career development and community development opportunities, as well as a way to keep in touch with the Korean Canadian community.

Why should you become involved with the KCLA?  Here are a few of the reasons:

NETWORKING
The KCLA provides a meeting place for lawyers and represents a great source of networking.

 

The KCLA provides client referrals to its members.

CAREER ENHANCEMENT
By joining the KCLA, you get increased opportunities to meet other lawyers who can be valuable resources for career enhancement.  In addition, we host a number of legal information seminars, giving our members an opportunity to raise their profiles.

MENTORSHIP
No lawyer succeeds alone.  The KCLA's mentorship opportunities are intended to put junior lawyers, as well as law students and young aspiring lawyers, in touch with more seasoned lawyers who can guide them past the pitfalls that might hinder or derail a promising and rewarding legal career.

KEEPING CONTACT AND GIVING BACK TO THE KOREAN CANADIAN COMMUNITY
Many KCLA members are individually active in various other Korean Canadian organizations.  Through other members, KCLA members can keep in touch with developments in the Korean Canadian community.  Should opportunities arise where the KCLA can pursue its objectives in collaboration with another organization, these opportunities may also be considered.
